A Patient Journey of Sampling a Snow Leopard

A Patient Journey of Sampling a Snow Leopard

When we received the client’s AI drawing, it was a snow leopard. We started sampling—and ended up revising it seven times.

At first, the mouth was made in 3D, which looked too abrupt, so the client wanted it softer. We changed it to a flat treatment, then repeatedly adjusted the curve of the mouth corners to make the expression more lively. The spots on the snow leopard also mattered: their position, size, and spacing were fine-tuned against the drawing in every version. We also switched the material from A to B, which felt and looked closer to what was expected. The angle of the downward-hanging arms was recalculated to make sure the body could stand completely upright, without leaning. The tag details were not overlooked either—position, font, and stitching were confirmed one by one.

With each revision, we broke down and implemented the client’s requirements. When Version 7 was sent out, the client finally said, “This works.” After that, we completed bulk production on time and shipped on schedule, so the client could launch on time.

Sampling is not simply copying a drawing; it is polishing every detail until it is just right. Seven versions were worth it.
